The CM-5

The CM-5 is the brain of a Bioloid robot. It contains an Atmel Atmega128 microcontroller which can store and execute a number of programs. It uses a serial connection to send commands to the robot's motors (AX-12+ smart serial actuators) as well as the AX-S1 sensor module. The figure below highlights the features/controls of the CM-5.

The CM-5 is pre-programmed to operate at a baud rate of 57600.
