Ideas for the Robot: - has a camera in front of robot so that programmer can see what the robot is doing - turning camera whose angle can be changed to see robot OR to see what robot is seeing Ideas for the interface: - cartoon with what robot should do - pop ups (good job, congrats, etc.) - instructions (with hints) - animation with voice - introductory chapter - video showing what robot can do after done with the chapter. Questions to be asked in initial surveys: Do remote controlled toys attract middle school students more then conventional toys? What types of robots would attract middle school students? In what way will the program have to be presented in order to attract students? - hard to answer w/o examples. Should a different robot be used for girls and boys?
